Dr. Doniel G. Drazin has a longstanding relationship with the Spine Institute Foundation (SIF) as a neurosurgical residency trainee while at Cedars Sinai and now as a Foundation member. He is a prolific researcher and author who has published 162 peer reviewed articles, many of which were in collaboration with the SIF which he continues along with developing a neurosurgical and spine surgical practice in Seattle, Washington.
Dr. Doniel Drazin graduated magna cum laude from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and earned a Masters degree in psychology at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He specialized in autism and neurodevelopmental disorders before receiving his medical degree from Albany Medical College in Albany, New York, and completed Residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where he excelled and published 96 research and clinical manuscripts in neusosurgery and spinal surgery. He then completed his Fellowship in Complex and Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery at Swedish Medical Center, with Dr Rod Oskouian, who is also a longtime SIF collaborator.
Dr. Drazin embodies an energetic and insightful presence within the SIF organization as a talented clinical surgeon with extensive and forward thinking research and educational experience and skills. He also leads several ongoing research and educational programs in collaboration with the Seattle Science Foundation (SSF) who the SIF has been a collaborator with since 2009.
