Dr. Eli Baron has been an outstanding contributor and member of the Spine Institute Foundation (SIF) as a Spine Fellow at Cedars Sinai and now a highly regarded complex spinal surgeon and neurosurgeon in Los Angeles at Cedars Sinai. He has engaged with the SIF actively since 2007 as an outstanding mentor.
Dr Baron is a truly dedicated educator and prolific author and recently published his Operative Techniques: Spine Surgery 3rd Edition (Elsevier) one of the leading textbooks books with his other mentor, Alex Vaccaro, at the Rothman Institute in Philadelphia. Dr Baron has also published Intraoperative Neuromonitoring McGraw-Hill 2nd Edition. Dr Baron has also published numerous peer reviewed articles in spinal surgery along with developing his highly recognized complex spine surgical practice in Los Angeles.
Dr. Baron graduated from Temple University Medical School where he also completed his Neurosurgical residency training. He did two Spine Surgery fellowships at the Rothman Institute with Alex Vaccaro and then at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center with Dr J. Patrick Johnson then joined the Cedars Spine Center staff and is the Director of the Spine Trauma Program.
Dr Baron is an energetic and education oriented and very talented clinical spine surgeon with extensive experience. He brings outstanding experience and very unique educational skills in Spinal Surgery and has been a collaborator with the SIF since its inception in 2007.
